Introduction to Sound System Fundamentals

Discover what goes into creating live sound! This comprehensive, hands-on workshop introduces participants to the essential components of professional sound systems. Over six weeks, you'll learn the fundamentals of live sound reinforcement—from microphones and mixing consoles to speakers, monitor systems, and signal flow.

Participants will gain practical experience with both analog and digital audio systems, explore microphone types and placement techniques, compare analog and digital mixing consoles, and learn how to build and configure complete sound systems. During the final session, participants will have the opportunity to mix live sound with a band, applying the skills learned throughout the course.
